Impacting a Youth culture for christ

what is klife

KLIFE is a discipleship ministry for Kanakuk kids, their families and their friends. KLIFE was first created because Kanakuk families wanted their kids to be discipled year-round and not just in the summer. KLIFE does fun large group gatherings called Klub to bring kids together for a great time! Our hope is that this space is a great introduction to the ministry and what we do. From there, our hope is that students would get plugged into small group Bible studies to help them grow in their relationship with the Lord. All of our small groups are led by full-time staff members or vetted and trained college and young adult volunteers. Finally, our students are pursued in a 1-on-1 setting for true discipleship and support through their teenage years. In KLIFE, kids learn that living a life for Jesus is the greatest decision they can ever make and that He is the one and only source of abundant life.

Our mission

To point students to Jesus so they can meet Him, know Him, follow Him and be equipped to point others to Him also.

WHY KLIFE IS SO IMPORTANT

Research shows that for every ten Christian’s who step foot on a college campus, only two graduate still professing to believe in Jesus. The overwhelming common denominator for the two out of ten is they had someone intentionally investing in them during their teenage years; someone like a KLIFE small group leader.

Teenagers are walking onto college campuses unable to defend their faith, but when a young adult shares their life with a teenager, transferring spiritual truths and life experiences, they are far more likely to continue walking with Jesus through college.

our model of ministry

Through weekly and monthly gatherings we invite kids to be apart of the ministry and have a ton of fun.

Our goal is to get kids plugged into small groups led by college students and young adults. Small groups are split up by grade and gender.

All of our small group leaders pursue their kids 1on1 in order to provide authentic discipleship.

small groups

The heart of our ministry is small groups. Our small groups are made up of boys or girls in the same grade. They are led by young professionals and college students who have a heart for ministry and working with kids. Each small group has one or two KLIFE volunteers (college age or older) or a KLIFE staff member leading it. The volunteer has been through an interview process with a staff member, has had a Background Check run, and has signed a commitment to follow Christ in their own life. A small group meets once a week and studies the Bible or a biblically-based book keeping in line with the KLIFE curriculum. The time they meet is determined by the leader of the group based on when everyone is able to get together.
